Meet our 2015 Space Camp team.

We have three middle school boys attending Space Camp this year.

Eddie Racht was so excited to attend Space Camp this year that he begin asking me to schedule the qualifying interview in September.  I gave Eddie permission to remind me about the interview.  Eddie was relentless.  Thanks to his persistence, our school team was chosen even before Space Camp was able to accept our registration.

Eddie's goal for this week is to learn more about space, planets and rockets.  He is looking forward to having fun and interacting with other deaf students.

David Harclerode first joined The Scranton School last year during Space Camp.  He was thrilled to discover that several students from our school are chosen to attend Space Camp each year.  David has been interested in the planets since he was six or seven years old, he has taught himself about space by reading books and online research.

David is excited learn more about NASA and space this week.

John Price has also been interested in Space since he was a child.  He was unsure if he would be chosen to go to Space Camp this year.  He decided to interview for a position on the team at the encouragement of David.  The two boys researched and studied the qualifying questions together.  John was very happy when he found out that he would be attending this year.

John is hoping to learn more about each of the planets this week.
